UC Berkeley Opportunities for Faculty 

The Book Publication Support Program is a pilot program offering support to ladder faculty whose merit, tenure, and promotion depends on the publication of books.  

The Bakar Fellows Program fosters entrepreneurship in the STEM+ fields including engineering, computer science, chemistry, biological sciences, physical sciences, architecture.

The Heising-Simons Faculty Fellows Program offers $1M awards for high-risk, high-reward research in a diverse set of fields, including astronomy, physics, geology and geophysics, materials sciences (in both physics and engineering), and physical and materials chemistry.

The Rose Hills Innovator Program supports early-career faculty interested in developing highly innovative research programs in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

The UC Berkeley-UCSF Faculty Collaboration Program facilitates innovation and faculty collaboration between UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco investigators.

The Society of Hellmann Fellows Fund provides support for research expenses of up to $60,000.

The Philomathia Prize provides up to $200,000 to early-career faculty.

The Regents' Junior Faculty Fellowships provide summer salary awards for junior faculty.
