The Entrepreneurial Business Incubator (EBI²) is part of the entrepreneurial stewardship of the Energy & Biosciences Institute. EBI² provides laboratory space and tools for lease to startups in biological and/or chemical field for product development, helping to bring ideas into products. Being located on UC Berkeley campus, it creates easy access to our Research Infrastructure Commons, which provides streamlined access to various core facilities on campus.

The QB3 Garage@Berkeley in Stanley Hall features approximately 800 square feet of wet laboratory space, set up with eight stations for biotech start-up companies. Each station offers bench and desk space and network connections. Resident companies also share use of a prep bench with standard lab facilities, along with space for floor-standing equipment such as a refrigerator, freezer or centrifuge.
