Center for Science, Technology, Medicine and Society

The Center for Science, Technology, Medicine and Society (CSTMS) conducts cross-disciplinary research, teaching, and outreach on knowledge production and technological change in the past, present, and future.  CSTMS administers the Designated Emphasis in Science and Technology Studies, the graduate field in the History of Science, and, in collaboration with the Townsend Center, the Undergraduate Course Thread in The Sciences and Society.  Please see our website for more information about special projects and events, colloquia, working groups, and other opportunities open to faculty, students, visiting scholars, and members of the public.
