Director, Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS)

A successful candidate is expected to have:
- Current appointment as a UC faculty member at the Full Professor level at one of the four participating UC campuses (Berkeley, Davis, Merced, and Santa Cruz)
- Demonstrated achievement and an exceptional international research reputation in an area relevant to the CITRIS agenda
- Demonstrated management experience suitable for a diverse and complex research environment that involves academia as well as private industry
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively, build partnerships, and develop shared goals and objectives with a diverse set of constituencies, including industrial and government partners, the general public, University researchers and University administrative elements
- Excellent organizational and communications skills, spoken, written, and in oral presentations
- Commitment to work inclusively with the four UC CITRIS campuses
The annual salary will be determined based upon the successful candidate’s background and experience. This appointment will be at 100% for an initial five year period with the possibility of renewal based on performance. This appointment will be made in accordance with the provisions outlined in Academic Personnel Manual (APM) – 246: Appointment and Promotion; Faculty Administrators (100% Time).
