Ali Mesbah

Research Bio

Professor Mesbah's research lies at the intersection of optimal control theory, machine learning, applied mathematics, and their application to mathematical modeling, optimization, and control of complex chemical and biomolecular systems. In particular, his laboratory develops computational methods and control theory that enable learning, analysis, and predictive control under uncertainty. These methods are employed to facilitate optimization and control of systems spanning from molecular processes in colloidal self-assembly to semiconductor manufacturing and biomanufacturing in resource-limited environments.
