3-D printer wows students at UC Berkeley
UC Berkeley alumni, David Pastewka and Richard Berwick, along with a current senior Will Drevno were featured on ABC7 News for their business and invention – the Dreambox.
Dreambox is a wirelessly accessible 3-D printing vending machine that features same-day printing, 24/7 on-site pickup and personal storage.
The 3-D printer uses a spool of corn based plastic, building objects one layer at a time, which then cool and harden in just minutes.
UC Berkeley is the first university in the world to receive the Dreambox, allowing students to print custom 3-D images right before their eyes.
