Research Description
Dr. Xiao-Jun Zhang is Michael Chetkovich Professor and Distinguished Teaching Fellow at the Haas School of Business. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance.
Dr. Zhang conducts theoretical and empirical research in accounting and finance. His research focuses on financial statement analysis and valuation, covering both fundamental accounting principles such as reliability and conservatism, as well as current developments in corporate disclosure, asset pricing models, cost of capital estimation, auditing, and the application of AI in security analysis. Dr. Zhang has published extensively in leading accounting and finance journals.
