Research Description
I work on late medieval English literature, with a special focus on the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries and the vexed relationship between the medieval and Renaissance periods. I am especially interested in the relationship between history and the forms through which it is made legible, as well as in the aesthetic as a medieval and modern concept. My current project focuses on Fortune and sensory aesthetics in the work of John Gower.
