Research Description

I use dynamic models to study optimal choice of policies, e.g. pollution taxes or cap-and-trade. I use hyperbolic discounting and overlapping generations models to study situations where protecting the environment, e.g. via climate policy, provides benefits to currently living people later in their lifetime, and also provides benefits to people who have not yet been born.
