Research Description
Isaac L. Bleaman is Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics at UC Berkeley. His research interests include sociolinguistic variation, language contact, language maintenance, and language change. He address these broad areas by studying the factors that constrain variation in contemporary spoken Yiddish.
He is also affiliated with the Center for Jewish Studies.
