Geoffrey Lee is an associate professor in the Department of Philosophy. Much of his work centers around problems to do with consciousness and the mind-body problem. How does consciousness emerge from the brain? What would count as an answer to this problem? Is the problem as deep as is sounds? Lee is also interested more specifically in spatio-temporal experiences. Do experiences of time or space have a subjective element, like the experience of color or taste? Is time's passage an illusion?
