Research Description

Geoffrey Lee is an associate professor in the Department of Philosophy.  Much of his work centers around problems to do with consciousness and the mind-body problem. How does consciousness emerge from the brain? What would count as an answer to this problem? He is also interested in foundational questions about representation and computation in cognitive science, particularly in the area of perception, and in questions in metaphysics and philosophy of science about the structure of the high-level world.
