Research Description
Claudia Ostertag is the T.Y. and Margaret Lin Chair of Engineering and the Vice Chair for Research & Technical Support in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering. Her research focus is in:
- Digital fabrication and 3D printing of lattice reinforcements for ductility enhancement of cement based materials
- light-weight, multifunctional façade systems for energy efficient buildings
- Development, mechanical properties & structural applications of High Performance Fiber reinforced concrete composites
- Durability enhancement through multi-scale crack control, corrosion mitigation, alkali-silica reaction mechanisms and mitigation strategies
