Research Description

Chris Shannon is the Richard and Lisa Steiny Chair in Economics and a professor of Economics and Mathematics.  Her recent research interests include uncertainty and risk in financial markets, quadratic concavity and determinancy of equilibrium, and the prevalent transversality theorem for Lipschitz functions.  She received both a B.S. in Economics and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Kansas and both M.S. in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University.
