Research Description

Chiara Salemi is an assistant professor in the Department of Physics. She received her B.S. in physics and mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017.  She completed her Ph.D. in 2022 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she built the first lumped-element axion search, ABRACADABRA.  She then went to Stanford University and SLAC National Laboratory where she was a KIPAC Porat Postdoctoral Fellow.
