schizophrenia, emotion, mental illness, psychology
Research Description
Ann Kring and colleagues have studied how emotions help (and hurt) us in everyday life by examining the ways in which emotions influence social interactions, decision making, memory, anticipation, and motivation. She has asked questions about the linkage between these processes in people with and without different psychological disorders, including schizophrenia. She has also studied emotion and cognition change across the lifespan.
