A successful candidate is expected to have:

  • Demonstrated achievement and an exceptional international research reputation in an area relevant to the CITRIS agenda
  • Demonstrated management experience suitable for a diverse and complex research environment that involves academia as well as private industry
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively, build partnerships, and develop shared goals and objectives with a diverse set of constituencies, including industrial and government partners, the general public, University researchers and University administrative elements
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills, spoken, written, and in oral presentations
  • Commitment to work inclusively with the four UC CITRIS campuses

The annual salary will be determined based upon the successful candidate’s background and experience. This appointment will be at 100% for an initial five year period with the possibility of renewal based on performance.
