Coleman Fung Institute for Engineering Leadership

The Coleman Fung Institute for Engineering Leadership was launched in January 2010 and is headquartered at UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering. The Fung Institute administers the undergraduate Fung Fellowship for Wellness & Technology Innovations, UC Berkeley Master of Engineering graduate program, and research under faculty director Lee Fleming.

Located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, the one-year Berkeley MEng is a top producer of engineering leaders. With over 900 alumni and 30 companies founded, the Fung Institute leads the way for technical, social, and economic innovations. The program prepares early-career engineers for leadership and entrepreneurial roles by combining world-class engineering and leadership training with unparalleled industry integration and collaboration. This integrated knowledge cultivates leaders who can make insightful decisions with the confidence that comes from a synthesized understanding of technological, marketplace, and operational implications.
