Research Description
The overall goal of my research is to better understand variation in speech articulation, especially the extent to which individuals are capable of drawing upon their experience as language users to modify their speech. My interests extends to sound change, especially as it relates to speech production, as well as acquisition, particularly the challenges of learning to use speech organs while simultaneously undergoing rapid physiological and cognitive development.
