Research Description

Current Research
Our laboratory is concerned with the basic organization of visual centers in the brain. We study local neural circuits and address questions on how information is encoded, transmitted, and detected. We seek to determine the neural basis of specific aspects of visual performance. In addition, we are interested in the relationships between neural and metabolic functions in the brain. These are directly relevant to the interpretation of non-invasive brain imaging.
