Description

Lane Johnson received his B.S. from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 1960, his M.S., also from University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 1962, and his Ph.D from Cal Tech in 1966. His current research interests include the use of geophysical methods to study structure and processes within the earth, the study of seismic sources with particular application to the monitoring of nuclear test ban treaties, development of improved theoretical and computational methods of treating wave propagation in realistic earth models, and the application of inverse methods to geophysical problems.
