UC Center for Energy and Environmental Economics
UCE3 functions as a hub of research excellence in energy and environmental economics, providing resources to bring together outstanding scholars from all of the campuses of the University of California. The Center focuses on four general research areas: Energy and Climate Policy, Energy Efficiency, Market-Based Environmental Regulations, and Behavioral Economics and the Environment. The Center's activities are multifaceted with the underlying theme of fostering research and collaboration at UC campuses in the area of energy and environmental economics. The Center provides resources to bring affiliated faculty and graduate students from different UC campuses to the two UCE3 locations, Berkeley and UC Santa Barbara, for both short-term events and longer-term visits. UCE3 hosts intensive collaborative research events, such as workshops and conferences and offer a working paper series for affiliated research. UCE3 also provides opportunities for graduate students to benefit from the programs at the two host campuses.
